January 30 – February 22, 2009
Mr. Smith is a high school English teacher who loves his students, his wife and his poetry. When a single event unravels his world and sends him free-falling into a crisis of faith, a mysterious Boy Scout arrives to take him on a mind-blowing and soul-searching trek through the wilderness. Developed by the prestigious Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s 2007 National Playwright’s Conference and read in Unicorn’s In-Progress New Play Reading Series, Kansas native James Still premieres his latest work on our stage.
