It’s April 3, 1968, the night before the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. A thunderstorm rages outside as a mysterious visitor arrives at the Lorraine Motel, forcing Dr. King to confront his destiny and his legacy. The Mountaintop won the 2010 Laurence Olivier Award (London’s version of the Tony Award) for Best New Play.
