KANSAS CITY, MO. – March 18, 2024 – Unicorn Theatre proudly announces the promotion of Jason Kralicek to the position of Managing Director. With a rich history of service to the organization, Jason’s return to this role marks a significant moment in Unicorn Theatre’s journey.
Jason brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position. A graduate of the Henry W. Bloch School of Management, he has nearly two decades of experience in business leadership, sales, and financial management. Prior to his recent appointment, Jason served as Director of Finance at Unicorn Theatre while concurrently working as a Realtor for Reece Nichols.
Before his tenure at Unicorn Theatre, Jason served as Manager of Sales for KC Rep, where he played a pivotal role in the opening of Copaken Stage at the H&R Block world headquarters. Since joining Unicorn Theatre in 2008, Jason has been instrumental in various initiatives, notably coordinating the successful “Buy the Building” capital campaign, alongside current Producing Artistic Director, Cynthia Levin, which secured the theater’s current home.
In addition to his professional achievements, Jason is deeply rooted in the Kansas City community. He, along with his husband Seth Golay, a respected local actor and director, opened Tropical Sno Kansas City, operating three locations in South KC for a decade before their successful sale in 2022.
