Marketing Director

This busy midtown theatre, in its 45th season of producing provocative new plays , seeks an experienced marketing director to join our small but mighty full time staff.

The Marketing Director will coordinate, develop, and implement a comprehensive Marketing plan for all activities of Unicorn Theatre.

-Create all marketing and promotional materials and mailings.

-Design ads, postcards, lobby signage etc. using adobe creative suite.
-Author and distribute press releases and collateral materials.
-Negotiate advertising contracts and place ad buys.

-Maintain relationships with all marketing vendors, news outlets and media contacts.
-Responsible for arranging interviews or feature articles for radio, print, television and internet and coordinate reviewers for each production.

-Set up photo shoots for publicity.
-Film and edit promotional videos for online use.
-Maintain and edit website using WordPress.
-Serve as staff liaison to the Board Marketing Committee.
-Maintain Social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Google analytics).

-Maintain a budget for all marketing activities including income and expenses.
-Sell advertisements in our program and arrange ad-trade relationships.
-Reports to Producing Artistic Director, includes other duties as assigned.

-Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
-A minimum of two years’ experience in theatre/nonprofit marketing.

-Graphic design experience.
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
-Experience with video editing
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite(Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro etc.), e-blast software (MailChimp), and WordPress.
-Ability to present information concisely and effectively.
-Ability to organize, prioritize work and manage time effectively.
-Ability to work independently with little supervision.
-Excellent interpersonal skills.
-Respect for diversity.

-Driver’s license and own vehicle.
-Proven track record of data driven decision making.
